HiraDahal is the young and dynamic leader of Chhori.She is excellentwith team mobilizationand filling upany team with hope and positive energy. She is an empathetic individual who genuinely cares about all individuals she works with and for. She believes and acts in a way that betters every individual who is in need of support, and always finds a way to support individuals in need. 

Hira has been leading CAP Nepal since 2009. From 2009 to 2013, CAP Nepal focused its program on supporting women and girls in the entertainment sector, and has raised the issues of son preference culture in Nepal by creating a specific project on this issue.  After being abused by family members for giving birth to a second daughter, she realized the systemic effects of violence on women because of the son preference culture in Nepal. Therefore, she took over and reactivated CAP Nepal to address this issue. 

She has 10 years experience in working as a program officer in Shakti Samuha, an organization established and run by trafficking survivors. During her work in Shakti Samuha,she had an opportunity to understand the overarchingissue of trafficking in Nepal. Besides this,she has closely worked with over 500 trafficking survivors. This gave her the vision of ending trafficking and gender-based discrimination in Nepal. From this experience,shehas decided to spend her whole life working for women and girls who need support in Nepal.
